Kohl Center
The Kohl Center opened in 1998 in Madison, Wisconsin. It is the home of the UW-Madison men's and women's basketball teams and the men's and women's ice hockey teams. Seating capacity is variable, as the center can be rearranged to accommodate a basketball court, a hockey rink, or a concert. The maximum capacity is 17,190 in its basketball configuration, and 15,237 for ice hockey. The center has three levels, with the floor holding about 7,500 people, and the two upper balconies holding about 4,500 each. The arena is located on the southeast corner of the UW-Madison campus, at the intersection of West Dayton and North Frances Streets.

Season Preview:
Good news: Brian Butch should come back healthy this season after his elbow injury helped derail a possibly historic season in Madison last year. He'll be joined by other solid contributors, including Michael Flowers, Marcus Landry, Joe Krabbenhoft and Jason Bohannon, so the supporting pieces are there if a lead scorer can emerge to replace the departed Alando Tucker and Kammron Taylor. This has the makings of another classic underrated Wisconsin team. Bad news: Tucker and Taylor, and their 33 points per game, will be hard to replace, at least early in the season. Still, expect Wisconsin to be an efficient offensive team -- coach Bo Ryan's system is quality, and the returning players are all effective scorers and solid with the basketball.
