Stadium: Rutgers Stadium
Rutgers Stadium has always been a place where students, alumni and friends could get together on a crisp Saturday afternoon in the fall, and cheer on their Knights. The new stadium, financed by a New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority bond issue proposal, which was approved by the legislature and then Governor Jim Florio in January of 1992, was kicked off officially on March 9, 1993.

Season Preview:
It's probably something not many of us expected to say in our lifetimes, but it's all good at Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights erupted onto the college football elite list with an 11-2 run last year and then managed to keep coach Greg Schiano from going back to Miami -- or anywhere else. The program is stronger than its ever been and it has turned the State University into a real state asset. The Knights suffered losses in terms of on- and off-field leadership, led by Brian Leonard, but there's a load of talent here. Last year, the feeling was Rutgers won in spite of Mike Teel, a quarterback who won almost all of his games in high school and college, but one who was basically there to hand the ball to Ray Rice and not mess things up. But, as Rice was finishing off his school-record 1,794-yard rushing season, things started to turn for Teel. He started playing better, with more confidence, and finished strong. He's back, and so is Rice, still only a junior to be. Offensive tackle Jeremy Zuttah is a national watch list guy who will lead the line. Defensive tackle Eric Foster, named to the 2007 Lott Trophy list as the country's top lineman, missed the spring game as one of a slew of Rutgers players either injured in spring camp or recovering from offseason surgeries. Defensive end Jamaal Westerman was one of the latter but the pair will be back to lead a talented and aggressive defense in the fall. When you have a kicker like Jeremy Ito, there's no need to open things up and have anyone else kick in the spring game; just let Ito kick for both teams in the intra-squad scrimmage. He's set, but the Knight have to find a replacement for All Big East punter Joe Radigan. Ito can punt, but junior college transfer Joey Dellaganna has been brought in.
