Stadium: Metrodome Stadium
The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, home of Golden Gopher football since 1982, is the nation’s largest air-supported, multiple-use facility. It has been the site of two World Series, a Super Bowl and two NCAA Final Fours, and has kept over five million college football fans warm as they watched and cheered University of Minnesota football.
In addition to serving as the home facility for the Golden Gophers, the Metrodome is home to the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. In 1989, it also served as home to the Timberwolves, who set the all-time NBA attendance record in their inaugural season.

Season Preview:
Coach Tim Brewster has one goal for Gopher Nation: a Big Ten championship and the first trip to the Rose Bowl since 1961. He won't likely get there this season thanks to the adjustment period that comes with installing a new spread offense, but a sixth straight bowl invitation will keep the program pointed in that direction. The only certainty at quarterback at the conclusion of the spring was that there will be no platoon. "I'm not a fan of that at all," Brewster said. Perhaps the greater challenge for new offensive coordinator Mike Dunbar, whose 2005 Northwestern offense averaged 500.3 yards per game, is rounding up enough receivers to run the spread. There are plenty of question marks after Ernie Wheelwright and Eric Decker. At running back, Amir Pinnix (1,272 yards and 10 TDs in 2006) drew praise this spring for his pass-blocking and Jay Thomas for his ability to stretch defenses. Center Tony Brinkhaus leads a line that must pick up the blitz, a common weapon against the spread. Before coaching the Tennessee Titans' defensive backs from 2001-06, defensive coordinator Everett Withers coached a University of Texas secondary that led the nation in passing defense (88.0 efficiency rating) in 2000. His philosophy is the roughly the same as an angry pit bull: attack, attack, attack. "Everything is 100 mph right now," said defensive end Willie VanDeSteeg, who leads by example along with linebackers Deon Hightower and co-captain Mike Sherels, CB Dominic Jones and FS Dominique Barber.
