Bobby Dodd Stadium
Georgia Tech's storied football facility has been a cornerstone of college football for nearly a century. Cozily nestled among Atlanta's skyscrapers, Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field is easily one of the nation's most unique settings for college football. Originally built in 1913 by members of the Georgia Tech student body, Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field is the oldest on-campus stadium in NCAA Division I-A, but the venerable stadium has recently added another chapter to its storied history with a new look and an expanded capacity.

Season Preview:
With 17 starters returning, Tech has the numbers to make a strong run for a second consecutive appearance in the ACC championship game. But a tough opening schedule that includes games against Notre Dame, Boston College, Virginia, Clemson, Maryland and Miami in their first seven contests means the Jackets are going to have to bring their "A" game right off the bat. The loss of WR Calvin Johnson leaves the biggest hole, even though QB Reggie Ball was a four-year starter. Junior QB Taylor Bennett backed up his impressive play in the bowl loss to West Virginia with an equally impressive spring. Four returning starters in the offensive line along with senior TB Tashard Choice look to give Tech a balanced attack. Eight returning starters, led by senior LBs Philip Wheeler and Gary Guyton, give the Jackets a solid nucleus on defense. Wheeler is a big-play guy who had nine sacks in 2006. There is some concern at corner and a lack of experienced depth at linebacker but the line looks strong, especially at end with seniors Adamm Oliver and Darrell Robertson returning. Tech has a solid one-two kicking game with senior PK Travis Bell (12-of-18 on field goals) and P Durant Brooks (45.5 yard average) both returning. Sophomore Jamaal Evans and senior Rashaun Grant (kickoffs) and junior Andrew Smith (punts) lead the return game.
