Stadium:
Clemson Memorial Stadium
Clemson Memorial Stadium has been held in high esteem for many years. Whether it be players from the 1940s and 1950s, opposing players from the 1970s and 1980s, or even professional players in the 1990s, the ambiance of this special setting is what college football is all about. The storied edifice added to its legend when the first meeting of father and son head coaches (Bowden Bowl I) took place before a sellout crowd of more than 86,000 fans in 1999. Clemson has ranked in the top 20 in the nation in average attendance 22 consecutive seasons. That includes 2001 when Clemson set an ACC record for total attendance. Last season, the streak continued when Clemson averaged nearly 79,000 fans per game.

Season Preview:
The Tigers have some defensive holes to fill and it's always a question when a new quarterback with limited experience steps into a starter's role. The opening game, hosting Florida State on Labor Day night, will be huge for confidence and mood at Clemson. Coach Tommy Bowden's teams have lost games they figured to win and not always played consistently. The backfield features two of the league's best in James Davis and C.J. Spiller. The receiver corps will be led by Jacoby Ford. Many of the linemen return. The only big issue at Clemson is how rookie quarterback Cullen Harper will fare. The Tigers were hoping for one of their linebackers to shine bright enough to be an emotional leader. It didn't happen. "You are not going to find a Leroy Hill every year," Clemson coach Tommy Bowden said. He was Player of the Year in the ACC and guys like him don't come around every year. We might have one, we might not, but I don't see one right now" PK Mark Buchholz made all three field goals he attempted in the spring game. That sealed his role as the No. 1 kicker. He will continue playing for the soccer team, which he believes helps him with conditioning and technique in football.
