Stadium: Alumni Stadium
Alumni Stadium is a football stadium located at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts in the Boston suburbs. It is the home of the football team at BC and also hosted the Boston Patriots during the 1963 and 1969 seasons. Originally opened in 1957, the stadium was heavily renovated for the 1994 season. Today, it seats 44,500. ARC USA used a combination of renovations and additions to transform BC's Alumni Stadium into a first class Division 1-A facility. Sited between the indoor basketball court/ ice rink and a parking garage, the new stadium was designed within the same footprint as its predecessor but with 12,500 additional seats, for a total capacity of 44,500. The lower bleacher seats and the track that encircled the football field were removed. Sideline bleachers were constructed and two-tier structures with VIP boxes were added at each end-zone. The south elevation, which faces Beacon Street and the adjacent residential community, uses the same brick and cast-stone pallet as the surrounding academic buildings

Season Preview:
What figured to be a rebuilding, revamping mode for the Eagles has just grown more uncertain. You rarely see an assistant coach leave during spring practice, along with the other shakeups at BC. Plus, Jeff Jagodzinski is going to have to learn on the fly about being a head coach in a major conference. The Eagles are expected to move into a more wide-open offense, featuring less runs between the tackles and more ambitious play-calling. Previously, under O'Brien, the Eagles were pretty straight forward and tried to win games on field position, running effectively and disciplined play. Having a veteran QB like Matt Ryan makes it easier to become more diverse. The Eagles return all four starters on the defensive line, and coupled with the strength at linebacker, this is where they hope to thwart teams. The biggest issue in the secondary, where top safety Ryan Glasper graduated and cover speed was always an issue. The Eagles awarded a scholarship to PK Steve Aponovicius, a cult hero from last season after being a walk-on. The punting is stable. Senior Johnny Ayers returns after starting 37 consecutive games. It's uncertain where QB Ross Applegate, who was signed from Marietta, Ga., two years ago, will transfer to another school. But he leaves the Eagles short on depth at a critical position. That's only part of the issues facing BC. Offensive line coach Jim Turner, a former captain of the football team who had coaching stints at Northeastern, Louisiana Tech, Harvard, Temple, and Delaware, abruptly cleaned out his office overnight and didn't show up at the next day's practice. Assistant director of football operations Jill Hegarty and recruiting assistant Nick Uhlenhopp also resigned. Hegarty left to take a job in the private sector, while Uhlenhopp departed to become director of football operations at Western Kentucky.
