Stadium:
Arizona Stadium
Considered one of the finest playing facilities in the country, Arizona Stadium stands as a testament to the history and continuing tradition of Arizona football. Built in 1928 with only 7,000 seats located on the west side between the end zones, the stadium has grown into a 56,000- seat facility that combines old style charm with modern conveniences. It's quite simply a great place to play and watch a game. From the end zone bleachers to the upper-deck stands, every seat features an uncluttered view of the playing surface, and more than half the seats provide sweeping vistas of the nearby Santa Catalina Mountains, as well as the campus and city skyline. The anxious moments leading up to most home games can be spent enjoying a spectacular desert sunset behind the west facade of the stadium before welcoming the cool evening thrill of the game on the field.

Season Preview:
Arizona has 10 starters returning to a defense that has made great strides since Mike Stoops took over as head coach. The defense can't score enough points to carry the Wildcats. But if the new multi-spread passing attack offense can, this might be the year the Wildcats break out of their eight-year bowl drought. QB Willie Tuitama will be relied upon to spearhead the passing attack after getting a clean bill of health following a concussion-filled 2006 campaign. The Wildcats can't afford to average 16.5 points and 253 yards and expect to win games. Arizona was 115th nationally in total offense. That is why former Texas Tech co-offensive coordinator Sonny Dykes was hired to install a new offense. Tuitama is going to be in a shotgun formation the majority of the time, and four-WR sets will be the norm, not the exception. Arizona has one of the premier cornerbacks in the country in Antoine Cason, but returning all three linebackers in a 4-3 scheme might be as important. Spencer Larsen is the leader of that group after making 89 tackles a year ago. The key up front is DE Louis Holmes, who must make more of an impact and help a unit that had just 15 sacks a year ago. Freshman P Keenyn Crier has as strong a leg as there is in the Pac-10, but he's lacked consistency in workouts. Junior PK Jason Bondzio has never tried a kick at this level. The entire return unit will be young, with those positions not being decided upon until fall camp. Arizona kept sitting ORT Peter Graniello out of spring workouts with a shoulder injury. Replacing him was James Tretheway, but don't expect a change in the lineup when Graniello gets the OK this summer to resume activity. Starting DT Lionel Dotson was limited with a shoulder injury in the spring, which opened up playing time for youngsters Lolomana Mikaele and Dave Bertrand. CB Antoine Cason, a preseason All-American candidate, worked out with the Arizona sprint team in the spring. He was part of several winning 4x100 relay squads.
